As many of you are aware St Catherine’s GAA club are in the process of developing a 3rd playing field to support the growth of playing numbers across our camogie, LGFA & GAA clubs. 

After significant work with our stakeholders we lodged a planning application with Cork County Council and we are expecting a decision in the coming weeks. This application includes a new full sized sand based pitch, dressing room, car park, stand and extended walkway.

 

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters (including the proceeds of our Strictly Fundraiser) we will be able to fund the purchase of the field without resorting to borrowing.

 

The development will be completed in phases with the cost of the upcoming work being in the region of €500,000. We will shortly be sharing details of our Quid Games fundraiser, the proceeds of which will go directly to the laying out of the new pitch and associated works.
